The piston strength in the brake booster of the subject vehicles could degrade due to improper molding condition of the resin piston. If this occurred, the piston may break by operating the brake pedal repeatedly and worst case may result to loss of braking assist while driving that could increase the vehicle stopping distance.
Customers will be notified by Toyota Motor Philippines Team through Official Notification Letter and will be invited by authorized Toyota Dealerships to inspect and/or replace Brake Booster with a new one at NO COST. Customers may also check if the TOYOTA vehicle is included in any active Service Campaign at https://toyota.com.ph/service-campaign.
Customers with vehicles included in the service campaign are highly encouraged to immediately set an appointment with any authorized Toyota dealer to perform the necessary vehicle repairs to prevent problems from occurring.
